job
wheeeheeheee.
i am jobful!
raining heavily. Rushed. Picked up Selena from bus stop. Mum and I are hopeless at maps. Well , they say females can't read maps. But we can read signs! Followed some signs, and finally found Ruby Plaza which looked really ulu and deserted. Went in and hardly any shops were open. So you can say we felt quite doubtful about the whole thing.
The shop was this small little thing and my mum got suspicious 'cause there wasnt any name at the top. just Blank. I kind of freaked out when I opened the door and wah, there sat three girls havnig an interview already! So we sort of rehearsed what we were going to say and then I realised I was wearing slippers? and three quarters? yep. not exactly formal stuff.
anyway, went in and... no, it wasnt some shabby old place. in fact, the guy was DECENT enough (look sort of proffessional in his specs), and the few certificates and awards hanging on the wall gave me some comfort. Plus the pro-looking files at the back of the room. We both sat down on the chairs and the interview was actually not really an interview. he just told us what we'll be doing, and then asked if we had any questions, and then wrote us a receipt for the $6 we paid each for a training session.
So here's the stuff:
job - tuition coordinator; call random students up and ask if they need a tutor. Refer to database phone book with tutor's names. And then MATCH. And then collect comission.
salary- earn 50% of the commision. the rest goes to the company.
position- earn up to $120 commision and then you're upgraded to a part-timer, where you earn $8/hr.
So I have an official excuse to hog up the phone.
hehee. but hogging it up just to say "excuse me, do you need a tutor" about 50 times a day.
piano-ed.
why does she always test the scales that I can't play? And never tests those that I can?
murphy's law; why does the bread always fall on the buttered side?
