WATER POLLUTION
Radioactive pollution can be human-made or natural. It can come from wastewater discharges from factories, hospitals or uranium mines, or it can come from naturally-occurring radioactive isotopes in water like radon. Radiation accumulates in the body, and children are more sensitive to the effects of radiation than adults. Radiation can cause cancer, and in high concentrations, death. Facilities that use radioactive materials are highly regulated and carefully monitored to prevent pollution. However, one of the potential problems of radiation pollution is stored radioactive wastes. Tons of waste have accumulated over the years, and the waste will remain dangerous for centuries. Unless suitable storage methods are found, these wastes could pollute groundwater or streams through improper storage. Work continues to create ways to safely dispose of radioactive wastes. Phew. done all my research on geog project (water pollution).
hmm
not really done properly
cos most of it was just copying and pasting
and just rearranging it into slides
and then there's still the reflection part,
which is 800 words and i dont know just HOW i can complete it by sat
oh right.
i just remembered. supposed to update on the beach outing.
beach outing to East Coastfirstly, everyone was demanding that i was late and becos i was comingfrom the opposite direction, they were in favour of meeting at the other bus stop.
but whatever.
in the end dana was the latest.
wore my SHORT shorts and tshirt and then we went PICKING!
whoo.
all five of us squeezed into dana's car and went to east coast.
grabbed our tongs and gloves and started throwing every bit of dirt into the plastic bag.
WHILE FIONA WATCHED FROM THE COMFORT OF HER SEAT.
okay okay. we'll give you the credit of taking care of our bags.
then we saw the sickest thing.
a dead kitten was sort of bloatedso we deduced that it had drowned.
the poor little white and black spotted lump
and one of its eyes was still half open
then we gave him a little nest in coconut husk xD
and lizzie n dana 'pushed' him "gently" into the sea [ gently as in using the tongs to throw it into the sea]
and he jus flipped out and came rolling back with the current
then we posed for pics and then went wading into the dead kitten infested waters to collect plastic bags. so whole shorts were drenched. [something, that i will not be able to do once a month due to *beep*. YOU ALL KNOW WHAT THIS IS]
oh just realised i can just copy and paste this post for my reflection. haha. ok wtv.
ate macs and went bowling.
