      PERTH TRIP
      sweat is bliss.
what the heck am i doing here? -frowns
im supposed to be in perth, enjoying myself in the Ngilgi caves at this time a week ago.
scream incoming...
AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH
okay. phew.
its so good to sweat again. *ahem* correction: persipire(x
yeah. after spending a whole week in total dryness :/
i love humidity (=
yupps yes i know all of you are DYING to know about the perth trip. esp. enmei who's been bugging me all day to know about the ASIAness of fiona [aka Ah Soh In Action]
DAY ONEarrived at perth international airport at 625 in the morn. went to dana's hse the night before; bathed and her mum fetched me to the airport... arrived there at BK at about 1030 where we agreed to meet lizzie, fio, caro and clare(:
attire: jeans + tshirt
backpack: gigantic pink jacket [which i did not touch for the whole trip, thanks to *beep* who wore a similur jacket], pencil case, journal, torch, passport, other personal stuff
luggage[lizzie's was
tiny, dana's was HUGE and mine was in between]: 5 tshirts, 2 jeans, tracks, toiletries, jacket, PJs, undergarments... YEH, you get the picture. the plane ride
all i did was play half an hours worth of Claymates. was asleep the rest of the time :/ so much for our movie marathon ): and they were showing stuff like the pacifier! GOSH)x
went thru al that immigration crap and finally got on the bus with our driver INGO. looked more like some retired old sailor. HAHA. headed over to the the
raeburn orchard. NO, no nice experience picking fresh fruits from the trees. all we got was a SHOP. WOW.
yeh but bought a packet of nougats which costed 25 bucks. aussie's speciality. gonna split it amoung 5 ppl(=
50 for my family
50 for frens(x [edds, hannah, rach, amanda, who else]
thhen went to the
ngilgi caves [pronounced: NIL-GEE]
saw tons of limestones; stalagmites and tites
was pitch dark had to use our torches [lizzie, me and fio had to SHARE]
but had lotsa trouble trying to take notes in the dark[ me, as offiicial journalist of the group, should actually be booted from the job. i mean seriously]
OH.
and the coolest part was, we actually got to SLIDE thru a TUNNEL at the end of the tour! it was like, inches above my head lar [ and we're talking horizontally].
the only bad thing was that my stomach was in the WARS. they were having the battle of the chinese food and the chocs )x vomited twice after climbing 13 stories up from the bottom of the caves.
then headed over to the
sheep shearing. THE POOR, POOR SHEEP. the guy like just dragged the sheep out like it was some stuffed toy or sth. and then started shaving him. and then the razor accidently CUT the sheep. and it was like. BLEEDING.
but the guy didnt care.
he just continued shaving away. and then dumped the sheep back into the pen. GOSH.
then the guy told us you could earn 100 bucks a day sweeping the floor and 180 bucks stomping on the fur. WOW. you coudl make a fortune out of that. beats mcdonalds any day. and you get to see those adorable lambs everyday.
the lambs were just so CUTE. they actually let us FEED the lil lambs cow's milk. from bottles. AWW. they were suckling away like mad. almost grabbed th ewhole bottle out of my hands.
after that. went into the shop. got a bottle of sheep's oil [lanolin] for my mum. 10 bucks.
the best part was the dinner. we were served lamb's meat[ the whole lamb was skewered alive. ithink], potatos, chicken wings, and tons of vegs. 6 of us sat together. OVERATE seriously.
overnight at
broadwater beach resort. average hotel. basic stuff. no indoor heating :/
DAY TWOchecked out of the resort immediately. got the bottom room of the bus! six of us had a blast down there(= slacked and crapped all the way to
bunbury catholic college where we were going for our immersion prog.
all of us werre like totally nervous. cos we thought they'd be snobby and all that. but we were wrong. really really nice ppl(=
but they were like, ' do you guys speak english in thailand?' and we were like giving the DUH-DO-YOU-THINK-WE'RE-SOME-BACKWARD-CHEENA-PPL-WHO-HAVE-NO-CLUE-ABOUT-ENGLISH look to them.
and then some guy asked clare, 'how do u say Josh in singporean?' and clare was like, 'josh'
the guy: how do you spell it?
clare: j-o-s-h
HAHAHA. oh man. that was so funny.
was paired up with this yr 10[sec3] girl. helen. followed her schedule the whole day. I LOVE THEIR SCH! its like so damn relaxed and they're like learning sec1 math can. GRR.
theey have like one whole hour of MUSIC. and they have a real band. with drums. guitar. everything. i hate the singapore education system.
had recess and lunch with Helen's "clique" i nthis HUGE field. picnic-style. jill and charisse's budies were there as well(x
more later.
